Make an Enquiry or Referral
A parent may contact Wrenwood directly, or an enquiry may be made by a lawyer, caseworker or other authorised professional.
You will be asked to provide some initial information, including:
• The type of service required
• The proposed location and frequency
• The names and ages of the children
• Whether arrangements are court-ordered or privately agreed
• Any relevant safety concerns
• Details of any professional representatives involved
Making an enquiry does not automatically confirm or commence a service.

Provide the Relevant Information
Wrenwood may request documents needed to understand the proposed arrangements and assess whether the service can be provided appropriately.
These may include:
• Current court orders
• Parenting plans or written agreements
• Intervention orders or safety plans
• Relevant professional referrals
• Other documents relating to the requested service
Wrenwood does not provide legal advice or resolve disagreements about the meaning of court orders. Independent legal advice may be required where arrangements are unclear or disputed.

Complete the Intake Process
Each parent will generally complete a separate intake meeting before services can begin.
The intake provides an opportunity to discuss:
• The child’s needs, routines and interests
• The proposed arrangements
• Any health, behavioural or developmental needs
• Family circumstances and relevant history
• Safety concerns or protective requirements
• Service expectations and appropriate boundaries
• Communication and changeover arrangements
Information provided during intake is handled respectfully and in accordance with Wrenwood’s privacy, safety and legal obligations

Assessment and Service Planning
After reviewing the available information, Wrenwood will consider whether the requested service can be provided safely and appropriately.
If the referral is accepted, we will prepare the proposed arrangements, including:
• The service type
• Date, time and frequency
• Suitable location
• Arrival and departure arrangements
• Communication procedures
• Fees and payment requirements
• Reporting requirements
• Any relevant service conditions
The arrangements must be confirmed before a visit or changeover can be scheduled.

The Service Begins
Once intake requirements are complete and the arrangements have been confirmed, the supervised service can commence.
During supervised contact, the supervisor remains present and observes the visit while maintaining professional boundaries and focusing on the child’s wellbeing.
Parents are expected to follow the confirmed arrangements, Wrenwood’s service conditions and any applicable court orders or parenting agreements.

Following the Service

After each supervised visit or changeover, Wrenwood will complete the required service records.

Where an observational report has been requested, the report will provide a clear and factual account of relevant events and interactions directly observed by the supervisor.

Reports do not include legal advice, clinical assessments or recommendations about future parenting arrangements.

Reports will only be released in accordance with the agreed service arrangements and applicable legal requirements.

Before You Begin
• Every referral is considered individually
• Intake must be completed before services commence
• Acceptance is subject to suitability, safety and availability
• Providing information does not guarantee that a referral will be accepted
• Wrenwood remains neutral and does not represent either parent
• Wrenwood cannot provide legal advice or resolve parenting disputes
• Services may be paused or discontinued if safety requirements or service conditions are not followed

Making a Professional Referral
Lawyers, caseworkers and other authorised professionals are welcome to contact Wrenwood on behalf of a family.
Please include the requested service, relevant court orders or agreements, proposed arrangements, reporting requirements and any known safety considerations.
Wrenwood will review the information and contact the appropriate parties regarding intake and availability.
